Four years ago, we left Tucson, Arizona for Germany. I considered Tucson “home” having lived there for six years — the second longest time I’ve spent in one place — and not once did I make an effort to capture its beautiful sunsets on film or by digital means. It was, you know, always there. There for me to admire as much or as little as I wanted. My best memory is seeing it for the first time at Saguaro National Park West … thick and thin slashes of gold, orange, and purple hues that only Mother Nature could make look good. This scarf is that sunset. For those gray, cold, winter days, I’ll always have that sunset, within reach, wrapped around my neck.
The pattern is the Chevron Scarf from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts. It pulls in a bit due to the pattern and will require Nugget-free space to block, which I’m loathe to do … but for this … I’ll do.

What a wonderful memory of Arizona and what a lovely way to capture that memory in your beautiful scarf. I LOVE the colorway and looking at it, I can just picture the colors of the sunset from the eloquent way you described it. Your scarf is looking fantastic and I can already tell that it will be well-loved. :-) Take care!!
